Mezinárodní kongres minivazivní a robotické chirurgie

Introductory word

The 38th Common Congress of Czech and Slovak surgeons, associated with the 7th Czech Surgical Congress, will be staged in Brno this year. It is also jointly held with the International Congress on Miniinvasive and Robotic Surgery and with the 4th Interactive Congress on Wound Healing. The Committee of the Czech Surgical Society gives, by its example, an important information to other organizers of specialist surgical events... The Czech Republic is not as large as to enable a high quantity of independent specialist events to be staged as it used to be until now. It is of advantage to join some symposiums or congresses.... and in particular – to attract attention to a quality information.

The Brno congress is aimed at thoracic and celiac surgery, cavity injuries and oncosurgery, emphasizing multidisciplinary approach. Novelties of miniinvasive surgical procedures have been prepared, newly including information on NOTES, SILS and other operation methods. The Brno congress enables both comprehensive lectures and original studies incl. videos to be presented.

It is necessary to stress that this year’s top specialist event by Czech and Slovak surgical societies is involved. Congress organizers are Prof. Ivan Čapov M.D. and scientific secretary Ass. Prof. Lenka Veverková M.D., PhD. It is necessary to thank both of them for their organization of the congress and efforts devoted to its preparation.

Allow me to welcome all of you, from both the Czech and Slovak Republic, to Brno and to wish the congress to be successful and to bring a lot of specialist knowledge.

Prof. Miroslav Ryska, M.D.
